Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- open day and school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school productions
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

Intensive Swimming
Every year, usually in Term 3, students are given the opportunity to participate in a two-week intensive swimming program at a heavily reduced price. Swimming lessons take place at the Griffith Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
Assembly
Assemblies are held every second Friday in the school hall at 2.05pm. All parents and carers are welcome to attend to celebrate the students' success and achievements.
Mums and Muffins
At Griffith Public School we like to celebrate our mums and carers who look after us. Parents and carers are invited to have a tea or coffee and a muffin with their children.
Dads and Donuts
Dads and other significant males in the students' lives are celebrated in September with a cuppa and a donut with their children.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day is a special day at Griffith Public School when we celebrate the amazing and varied backgrounds of our students. Students are invited to wear clothing from their culture or the colour orange.
